Barbara’s Testimony

Barbara and Zeke

My wife’s name is Barbara. We have been happily married for over 30 years.  Barbara has had a life-long dream of being in ministry. She was saved at the young age of 8, in a little Baptist mission in Montegut, Louisiana.  Her mother was the WMU associational director for her area, which instilled a love for missions in her daughters heart.  She has always loved working with children.  As a teenager she would volunteer her summers to work with special needs children, and Special Olympics, at the Hammond State School, where her mother was employed.

She has spent 7 years as a 2 year old teacher at our church daycare. As of June 17, 2005 she has resigned her position in child-care and has begun a full time ministry on the road, telling others about the love of Christ.

Barbara has led many children to the Lord through Awana, Discovery, Sunday School, Children’s Church and other ministries.

Barbara has always been a wonderful singer, but she has picked up the art of ventriloquism.  The Lord has given her a talent to add to our ministry, and she is excited to see how the Lord is going to use this gift. Pray for Barbara as we are on the road.  She is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 6, and it is hard for her to leave family to travel (especially the grandchildren).
